SAR Prudence Mediterranean Sea March 2017
Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is continuing their search and rescue operations in the Central Mediterranean, with a new vessel, the Vos Prudence.
The Vos Prudence, a 75 metres long supply vessel, left the port of La Valletta, Malta, on March 20th. The ship, with 13 MSF staff members on board and 18 non-MSF crew, can transport approximately 600 people, with contingency for another 400.
Vos Prudence is equipped with an emergency room, an observation and consultation room, an isolation room, and ER room, a pharmacy, a morgue, and separate areas for vulnerable cases.
