ICASA 2017, Africa’s largest HIV conference

MSFALB3561

ICASA, Africa’s largest annual HIV conference will be held this year in Cote d’Ivoire, with an expected 6000-8000 researchers, policy makers, academics, clinicians and activists from across Africa expected. MSF data and insights will be shared from DRC, Guinea, Kenya, Malawi and Uganda. Given the location, MSF will position itself around the HIV response in West, Central Africa, which continues to lag far behind the rest of the continent. An MSF delegation of approximately 15 people will include Dr Mercedes Tatay, MSF’s International Medical Secretary, who will deliver a keynote speech on community engagement in the HIV response. An MSF press officer will be present at ICASA to pitch and answer to all media enquiries.
