Ebola treatment center in Mangina
MSF opened the Mangina treatment centre on 14 August, in the epicentre of the outbreak. The range of supportive care has been progressively increased to include oral and IV hydration, treatment of coinfections and of the symptoms of Ebola. Experimental treatments are also available for confirmed Ebola patients under the MEURI protocol. They are given with the informed consent in addition to the supportive care. The centre has a capacity of 68 beds and can extend to 74 if required.
